Tyler Brown working to become leader for the Buffaloes

The offensive line looks to be one of the few positions that will return starters next season, but one transfer could become a leader at the position. Guard Tyler Brown followed head coach Deion Sanders to Colorado from Jackson State.

Standing at a massive 6-foot-3, 320-pounds, Brown has been wowing Colorado with his leadership skills and weightlifting prowess. Colorado will be his third stop as he spent his first three years in college at Louisiana-Lafayette before starring for JSU last season where he earned third-team FCS All-American.

Jimmie Searfoss caught up with Tyler Brown recently and asked about how well the Buffaloes can mesh given the roster turnover that the Buffaloes have been through. His response shows how is quickly becoming a leader of the team:

“Coach Prime’s rule is don’t sit by yourself, speak to everybody walking by, learn names. That’s what we’re doing. That’s how you build camaraderie. When we’re working together, we’re suffering together on runs and practice together in the heat, and that’s how you build camaraderie. But yeah, Coach Prime’s rule is when you go walk by somebody, go speak to them, go sit by people you don’t know and get to know them.”
