Let’s start with the good news. The New Orleans Saints are still finalizing details for their 2023 training camp, but we know the most important date: Wednesday, July 26. That’s when camp will start, as first reported by Nola.com’s Jeff Duncan and confirmed by NewOrleans.Football’s Nick Underhill.
Veteran players will report for work on July 24, with their rookie teammates arriving at the practice facility in Metairie a week earlier. Everyone will go through a conditioning test on July 25. It’s a typical schedule for New Orleans. Additionally, we know that the Saints plan to share the practice field with the Houston Texans for a few days leading up to their Aug. 27 preseason game.
Now the bad news: we don’t know exactly when practice sessions will be open to the public. The Saints have welcomed fans to attend a select number of outdoor practices in the past, and that’s the plan again this year — but the team won’t make that information available for a few more weeks. So stay tuned for dates, times, and whether you’ll need to reserve tickets.
