Nikola Jokic wanted to go home so badly after winning the NBA Finals and it was so relatable

Jokic is ready to see his horses, man.

Normally after winning the NBA Finals — or a championship of any kind, really — you’ll see players just become overwhelmed with emotion.

Sometimes it’s a quick pause as the player thinks about what they accomplished. Other times, it’s jumping up and down for joy in jubilation with teammates. Regardless, it’s a moment normally filled with a ton of emotion.

Not for Nikola Jokic, though. This dude was so incredibly chill after winning the Nuggets’ first championship in franchise history. It’s sort of inspirational.

In his first interview after winning the championship, Jokic was asked how it feels to be a champion. Because, you know, this is a pretty special moment in his career.

His response? “It’s good. The job is done, we can go home now.”

MY GUY IS READY TO CLOCK OUT OF WORK, Y’ALL.

He is truly one of us, man. This is easily the most relatable thing an elite athlete has ever done. Jokic is done with work. It is time to go home and be with his horses.
