New England Patriots coach Bill Belichick noted Monday that wide receiver JuJu Smith-Schuster’s availability would be day-to-day.
This comes as the wide receiver was not at any of the open OTA practices.
Smith-Schuster dealt with injuries last season with the Kansas City Chiefs, including quad and hamstring injuries in October. Most recently, he hurt his knee during the AFC Championship back in January. He was able to come back for the Super Bowl to record seven receptions for 53 yards.
This could be a precautionary measure with New England looking to preserve its biggest offseason addition.
Bill Belichick described JuJu Smith-Schuster's availability as "day to day." He wasn't at any of the three open OTAs.

Hopefully, this is just a maintenance move as New England tries to keep pace with the rest of the AFC East in the regular season.
Smith-Schuster had nothing but positive things to say about offensive coordinator Bill O’Brien last month, and that could make for positive developments once the season begins.
