The USC football spring game is a week old, but the storylines from last Saturday’s event are still relatively fresh. They deserve a fuller discussion. That’s what the Trojans: Wired podcast is for. Co-host and producer Ian Hest joined us to walk through the various plot points raised and addressed by the spring game.
We talked about the offense. We talked about the defense. We went through the various position groups. One of the main points of focus in this podcast episode was the tension between the offense’s sluggishness (albeit with backups) and the good plays the defense made as the spring game continued. Was the defense legitimately better, or was it mostly a product of the offense playing with backups on a day when Caleb Williams played just three snaps and then handed the keys to other quarterbacks?
How did this spring game set the table for the offseason and the lead-up to summer camp?
