Friday night’s series opener against the Ole Miss Rebels has been moved back to 8:30 p.m. due to the threat of inclement weather.
LSU enters the game at 29-7 after dropping their midweek game to Louisiana-Lafayette 8-5 in Baton Rouge. The Tigers will look to bounce back with their ace [autotag]Paul Skenes[/autotag] on the mound. In his last two starts, Skenes has looked human. He has allowed six runs in his last nine innings of work.
Ole Miss enters the series 21-16 and is currently the last-place team in the SEC. It dropped its series against Mississippi State last weekend before beating Arkansas State 6-3 on Tuesday. The Rebels are the only team in the SEC that has yet to win a conference series this season. They are looking to change that at home against LSU.
LSU does not play a ranked conference series for the rest of the season starting with this series against Ole Miss.
