Bryce Young cancels remaining pre-draft visits

According to NFL Network’s Tom Pelissero, Bryce Young has canceled his remaining pre-draft visits—adding to the speculation that the Panthers are prepared to take him with the No. 1 pick.

It seems as though Bryce Young knows something that we don’t know.

With 10 days left until he hears his name called by Commissioner Roger Goddell in Kansas City, the University of Alabama quarterback has reportedly canceled his remaining pre-draft visits. NFL Network insider Tom Pelissero was first with the news on Monday afternoon, and hinted that this could be yet another indication that the Carolina Panthers are preparing to select Young with this year’s No. 1 overall pick.

The 2021 Heisman Trophy winner met with the Panthers in Charlotte last Tuesday for a top-30 visit. And Young, according to Will Kunkel of FOX Charlotte, was “impressive” during the interview process.

Young has also met with the Houston Texans, who are slated to pick behind the Panthers from the second overall position. So it seems the floor for Young—who remains a considerable odds-on favorite to be taken atop the board—is at No. 2.
