Four-star UNC football recruiting target commits to Ohio State

A four-star tight end in the 2024 recruiting class has picked Ohio State over North Carolina.

The UNC football program received some more bad news on the recruiting front Saturday afternoon just ahead of their annual spring game.

Just a few days after UNC lost out on a three-star safety to Minnesota, they watched another recruit head to the Big Ten. Four-star tight end Max LeBlanc announced his verbal commitment, picking the Ohio State Buckeyes over Michigan, Tennessee, and North Carolina.

The Tennessee native recently cut his list down to the four finalists and then hinted on Friday that a decision could be coming soon. LeBlanc wasted no time and was ready to commit, picking the Buckeyes.

The 6-foot-3, 222-pound tight end is ranked as the No. 270 player overall, the No. 13 tight end, and No. 6 player in the state of Tennessee per the 247Sports recruiting rankings.

The Tar Heels do have nine commitments in the 2024 recruiting class which is ranked No. 12 overall per 247Sports. There’s a while to go in the 2024 class and the hope is that UNC can land a few more big recruits to round out the class.
