The Aggies went gangbusters in the third inning putting nine runs on the board en route to a game one series win. Texas A&M (21-13, 6-7 SEC) got back on track against Missouri (21-12, 4-9 SEC) with a 13-5 after starting down 1-3 going into the bottom of the third inning. The Maroon & White will take this momentum into game two with the intention of taking the series early.
Head Coach Jim Schlossnagle wants his pitchers to clean up a few things but over was pleased with how his team hit the ball. Below is what he had to say about the game:
“Not the best game, obviously. A lot of free bases on both sides. Thankfully, we got the big hits when we had guys on base there in the third inning. But we’ll take it. I just asked [Shane] Sdao to get us through the middle innings there so we didn’t have to use a lot of pitchers. [Brad] Rudis did a nice job, so we’ll take it.”
Game two will start at 6pm on April 14th
