Gators get slight bump in NET rankings following win over LSU

Here’s where the Gators rank in the NET following Saturday night’s big win.

It was a rough regular season for Florida basketball all around but [autotag]Todd Golden[/autotag] and his gang hung tough until the end, earning a pair of wins to wrap up the schedule including Saturday night’s 79-67 home win over the LSU Tigers. The victory completed the season sweep of the Gators’ Southeastern Conference West foe while clinching a winning regular-season record.

The Orange and Blue entered the final game of the schedule at No. 60 in the NET rankings and moved up two spots to No. 58 following the win. Florida is now 16-15 overall with a 9-9 mark in SEC play while putting up a 2-12 record against Quadrant 1 opponents, 1-2 against Quad 2, 9-1 against Quad 3 and 4-0 against Quad 4.

Next up for Florida are the Mississippi State Bulldogs, who face the Gators in Game 3 of the second round of the SEC Tournament on Thursday, March 9. The Orange and Blue hold the No. 8 seed in the tournament while MSU is seeded at No. 9. Tipoff inside Bridgestone Arena in Nashville, Tennessee, is scheduled for 1 p.m. EST and can be watched on the SEC Network or heard on Gator Sports Network.
