The Philadelphia 76ers continue to get a bit more athletic for the stretch run. After acquiring Jalen McDaniels at the deadline, they are calling up a slam dunk participant from the G League.
Mac McClung, who is averaging 17.4 points and 5.8 assists for the Delaware Blue Coats, will be upgraded to a two-way contract. He will participate in All-Star weekend in both the slam dunk contest and the rising stars challenge in Salt Lake City.
To make room for McClung, the Sixers are waiving Julian Champagnie, who held a two-way deal.

McClung has two NBA games under his belt. He played one game for the Chicago Bulls and one game for the Los Angeles Lakers in the 2021-22 season. He totaled eight points and three rebounds across those two games. Now, he gets an opportunity with the Sixers.
