The Cleveland Browns had former first round pick Greg Newsome split time in the slot and outside. There were growing pains but by the season’s end, he was playing well at both spots. Since the season has ended however he has sent out a few tweets hinting that his preference would be to play just outside.

It’s hard to blame Newsome for wanting to play outside with the vast difference in contract values for inside corners vs the outside contracts. It’s also clear that he is just a better outside corner even though he isn’t bad in the slot. It’ll be interesting to see how the corner room plays out this off-season.
