Michigan’s Women’s Track & Field team pulled off an impossible comeback after a runner fell

This is downright unbelievable.

Track, as a sport, is incredibly fertile ground for some spectacular comebacks. The sport itself isn’t just about speed, but also endurance and grit.

It’s quite literally a race to the finish line. Athletes have to not only keep a steady pace, but also make sure that pace is better than their competition for however long the race is. It’s remarkable. That’s why the sport is so awesome.

It’s also how Michigan’s Women’s Track & Field team just gave us one of the most incredible moments you’ll ever see on the track. They pulled off an incredible comeback in a 4×400 relay against.

Sophie Isom, who ran the first leg of the relay, took a fall early on. But she got up, picked up her baton, and ran to give her teammates a shot.

The rest was absolutely magical. Watch this whole thing. You’ve got to see it to believe it.

Not only did Michigan come back, but they absolutely smoked their competition by the end of the race. It’s remarkable.

Sports fans everywhere were in awe.
