PHILADELPHIA–The Philadelphia 76ers had the game in hand on Tuesday against an undermanned Detroit Pistons team. The Pistons entered the game missing Cade Cunningham, Marvin Bagley III, Bojan Bogdanovic, Jalen Duren, and Isaiah Stewart so Philadelphia handled business quickly.
They led by as many as 41 and they were able to cruise to a rather easy 147-116 win and improve to 25-15 on the season. Joel Embiid had 36 points and 11 rebounds in his return from foot soreness and James Harden had another triple-double with 16 points, 15 assists, and 12 rebounds.
The blowout allowed Jaden Springer to get some playing time. The second-year guard had 10 points, two rebounds, and a steal in 8:43 of playing time. Afterward, the Sixers singled out Springer and gave him a lot of love for his performance.
