The Wisconsin Badgers were not able to get it done on the road against the No. 24-ranked Illinois Fighting Illini in a 79-69 loss. The Badgers were without their leading scorer, Tyler Wahl, and forward Carter Gilmore started in his place.

Wisconsin had two players finish with over 20 points in forward Steven Crowl(20) and point guard Chucky Hepburn(22); however, the rest of the team only combined for 27 points. The Fighting Illini got hot from deep in the second half and converted 52.6 % of their three-pointers on the day. This proved too much for Wisconsin, and Illinois was able to build a comfortable lead to put away the game.

The Badgers will hopefully get Wahl back soon since they have games next week against Michigan State on Tuesday and Indiana on Saturday.
