Bills-Bengals suspended following scary injury to Damar Hamlin
Previous coverage:
Buffalo Bills defensive back Damar Hamlin has suffered an unbelievably scary injury against the Cincinnati Bengals.
At the end of the first quarter, Hamlin made what appeared to be a routine tackle on Bengals receiver Tee Higgins with 5:58 remaining in the frame. In fact, Hamlin even got up.
But he immediately collapsed.
According to numerous reports, including by ESPN sideline reporter Lisa Salters, CPR was administered to Hamlin by the training staff.
After a long delay while medical personnel attended to Hamlin, the teams were given five minutes to warm back up and continue the game. Then that quickly changed as the contest was temporarily suspended.
Bills Wire will provide updates as more information is made available.
