Bills-Dolphins game delayed due to fans throwing snowballs

#Bills-#Dolphins game delayed due to fans throwing snowballs:

Classic Buffalo.

There was once a projected lake-effect snowstorm heading toward Orchard Park. While it detoured ahead of Week 15’s kickoff on Saturday evening, plenty still fell earlier in the day…

Because of that, there was snow all over the seating at Highmark Stadium…

Because of that, Bills fans started to use it–throwing snowballs onto the field during the contest…

Because of that, the NFL threatened the fans…

At the 8:18 mark of the second quarter, the game was delayed. A message was flashed on the video screens at the stadium:

It asked fans to stop throwing snowballs at players. The league even went a step further as the referees announced a penalty would be called against the home team if it continued:

A wild scene. But some fans are justifying it.

Against the Dolphins in Week 3 the Bills lost, 21-19. The contest featured the opposite weather, scorching heat, and it’s a known fact that the Dolphins’ stadium is designed so the visiting team is in the intense and hot sun.

The Bills clearly struggled with it that day… but not throwing snowballs is probably a smart safety measure.
