Report: Panthers WR DJ Moore’s ankle injury ‘nothing significant’

According to ESPN’s Adam Schefter, Panthers WR DJ Moore is considered day-to-day with his ankle injury.

If the Carolina Panthers are to somehow capture the NFC South, they’ll probably need to be at full strength. And luckily for them, their top pass catcher isn’t feeling too bad after all.

As reported by NFL Network insider Ian Rapoport and later confirmed by interim head coach Steve Wilks on Monday, wideout DJ Moore was sent for an MRI to gauge the seriousness of an ankle injury he sustained in yesterday’s win over the Seattle Seahawks. Now, according to ESPN’s Adam Schefter, that injury isn’t too serious.

Moore missed three of the offense’s 72 snaps in the Week 14 triumph—one in which he totaled zero receptions on three targets. Sunday marked just the second game in Moore’s career where he did not record a single catch, with the first coming in his NFL debut back in 2018.

Through 13 games, the fifth-year receiver has amassed 605 receiving yards and a career-high four touchdowns off 46 grabs.
