Michigan State’s defense was ravaged with injuries throughout the 2022 fall. Someone who was forced to step up was Kendell Brooks, who made the most of his opportunity.
Brooks started his career at division-two North Greenville University, before transferring to Michigan State.
After only recording 5 tackles in 2021, Brooks had a breakout campaign in 2022. After not starting the first two games of the season, Brooks was thrusted into a starting role. Brooks finished with 100 tackles, 3.5 tackles for loss, 3 pass defends and 3 forced fumbles.
Now, Brooks plans to pursue a professional career.
