Reeling Packers will be home underdogs to Mike McCarthy’s Cowboys in Week 10

The Packers have lost five straight games and will now be a home underdog to Mike McCarthy’s Cowboys this week.

Mike McCarthy will return to Green Bay to face a reeling Packers team as a road favorite in Week 10.

Tipico Sportsbook has the Packers as five-point underdogs (+5.0) against the Dallas Cowboys this week (current as of Monday afternoon).

The over/under is set at 42.5 points.

Matt LaFleur’s team is 3-6 and a home underdog for the first time this season.

It’s not hard to understand why: The Packers are returning to Lambeau Field after losing five consecutive games in five different stadiums; McCarthy’s Cowboys are 6-2, winners of two straight and coming off the bye week.

A potentially huge mismatch exists between the Packers’ 27th ranked scoring offense and the Cowboys’ 3rd ranked scoring defense. Green Bay scored all of nine points on Sunday during a loss to the Detroit Lions.

The Packers haven’t been a home underdog since beating the Los Angeles Rams at Lambeau Field as 1.5-point underdogs last November.

To snap the five-game losing streak, the Packers will have to pull of another upset, this time against a team coached by McCarthy, who led the franchise to its last Super Bowl title in 2010.

Sunday will mark the first time McCarthy has coached at Lambeau Field as a visitor. He was hired as the Cowboys coach before the 2020 season.
