At the end of a 31-14 game, Sean McVay opted to keep his starters on the field against the 49ers. Even worse, he called a screen pass to Cooper Kupp, putting him unnecessarily in harm’s way during a blowout.

Kupp was tackled awkwardly by his ankles and stayed down on the field for a little while, causing panic to set in among all Rams fans. Kupp eventually got up and walked off the field under his own power, but the severity of his injury is not yet known.

Hopefully it’s nothing serious because he’s the team’s most productive player on offense. And if he’s lost for any period of time because he was catching passes in a blowout, it’s going to be a terrible look for the Rams and McVay.

Kupp caught eight passes for 79 yards and a touchdown in the Rams’ 17-point loss to the 49ers on Sunday.
