Sleeping is overrated, right? At least, that’s what I keep telling myself after watching the latest Choo-Choo Charles trailer — a grim reminder that someone thought trains, spiders, and clowns should be frankensteined-together.
On Monday, developer Two Star Games announced that Choo-Choo Charles is coming out on Dec. 9, 2022, for PC. This first-person indie horror game is about fighting off a clown-faced train with spider legs on some remote island. No, that’s not a joke.
Check out the release date announcement trailer for Choo-Choo Charles below. It looks like the titular train has some kind of nest with eggs – hey, can we not?
There also appears to be a narrative with voice acting, which isn’t all that common in low-budget horror games like this. The crafting system looks surprisingly in-depth, too, as you’ll have a fully customizable train to navigate the open world. This one doesn’t have razor-sharp teeth, thankfully.
Choo-Choo Charles has been a curiosity to many since its reveal last year. Despite the ludicrous premise, it’s pretty clear that is putting a fair degree of effort into Choo-Choo Charles. We’ll find out how it’ll turn out this holiday — well, those enough who are brave enough to step into the conductor’s seat, anyway.
