On Saturday the Pittsburgh Steelers got great news when starting cormerback Cam Sutton returned to practice. Sutton had to leave practice on Friday when what head coach Mike Tomlin characterized as a lower body injury.
But Sutton was able to come back the next day and according to Tomlin the injury is not serious.
Sutton is listed as the team’s starting right cornerback on their first depth chart of the preseason. Sutton has been with the Steelers since 2017 when he was the team’s third-round pick out of Tennessee.
In addition to Sutton, wide receiver Chase Claypool returned to practice on a limited basis on Saturday. Claypool suffered a shouler injury and was characterized by Tomlin as working his way back.
