Brooklyn Nets officially bring Igor Kokoskov on as assistant coach

Reports indicate that the Nets officially bring on Igor Kokoskov as an assistant coach on Nash’s staff.

The Brooklyn Nets are going through quite a lot this offseason with both stars Kevin Durant and Kyrie Irving requesting trades, and there will also be some significant change to the sideline staff, as well. The team has officially brought on Igor Kokoškov as one of Steve Nash’s assistants.

Rumors about Kokoškov joining Nash’s staff started over a month ago, he was a critical piece to the Dallas Mavericks postseason run.

The team announced that alongside Kokoškov, that Adam Caporn and Trevor Hendry will be joining the organization.

Kokoškov comes to the Nets with a long history in coaching all over Europe and as an assistant for nearly ten teams in the NBA.

Caporn is getting a promotion, moved up from the head coach of the Long Island Nets. He led the team to their second franchise playoff berth with the G-League affiliate.

Hendry also receives a major promotion as last season he was a head video coordinator for the franchise.

These changes already show the Nets organization taking the offseason by the horns and attempting to get the team together before the season starts.
