Boston Celtics reportedly add Adelaide 36ers’ Robert Franks to Las Vegas Summer League roster

The NBL forward previously worked out for Boston and is reported to be a late addition to the Sin City Celtics.

The Boston Celtics reportedly have added forward Robert Franks to their Las Vegas Summer League roster, according to the official Twitter account of Australia and New Zealand’s National Basketball League (NBL). Per the NBL, the Adelaide 36ers swingman will join the Summer Celtics in the annual Sin City exhibition series kicking off this Saturday.

The Washington State product had previously worked out for Boston ahead of the 2019 NBA draft before he would ultimately go unselected, so it makes sense for the two to reunite as the 36ers star looks to try to make the leap to the NBA next season.

Franks logged 18.2 points, 8.9 rebounds, and 1.6 assists per game with the Brisbane Bullets last season while shooting 39.1% from deep.

It remains to be seen how well Franks can put it together against a higher level of competition, but he should help Boston’s summer league squad out well with his outside shooting and rebounding at the least.
