Ask any diehard Star Wars fan what their favorite game is, and it’ll likely be Knights of the Old Republic. Aspyr is already working on a remake, but another studio will assist with development soon.
During Embracer Group’s Q4 financial report on Thursday, board member Matthew Karch announced that Saber Interactive is helping Aspyr bring the fan-favorite RPG to a whole new generation.
“Aspyr has gone full-in to make this the best game that they can. When [Embracer Group] acquired Aspyr, we knew from the start that they would require our assistance. Saber Interactive has tremendous expertise in creating these types of products,” Karch said. “We’re fully confident that the game will be fantastic, but it’s a massive product, and massive products require a lot of effort and a lot of time to make good.”

“And especially when you’re talking about a game already old,” Karch continues. “We’ve basically had to remake that game from scratch.”
Karch also insisted that we’ll hear more about the Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic remake sometime in the next few months.
Saber Interactive’s most recent title would be Evil Dead: The Game, which is going over fairly well with fans.
