Another year, another Tuscaloosa Regional for the Alabama Softball team. In the final rankings of the year, the Tide closed out as the 6-seed and the tournament will take place from May 20-22.
The Tuscaloosa region will include Stanford, Murray State, and Chattanooga. The Crimson Tide have gone to the Women’s College World Series in consecutive years (2019, 2021) as the 2020 tournament was cancelled due to COVID-19.
Alabama won its only Women’s College World Series under head coach Patrick Murphy in 2012 when they went 60-8. However, they have been knocking on the door in recent years. Is this the year they finally get back over that hump?
