On Thursday, the Houston Rockets released a behind-the-scenes look at the game-day routine of Alperen Sengun and how the rookie prepares himself to play on any given night.
Fans often wonder how players get ready to perform and the rituals they adhere to. Some players are very regimented in what time they arrive at the arena, what food they eat and what time they take the court to warm up, and it often varies from player to player on what they like to do.
The video began by showing Sengun leaving for the arena around 8 a.m. to participate in shootaround. Then, Sengun joins his teammates in the cafeteria for a meal and hits the video room for some film study prior to their matchup that evening.

Sengun, in 58 games, is averaging 9.1 points, 5.1 rebounds and 2.4 assists this season. He has emerged as one of the most productive first-year players and has helped form a strong nucleus in Houston alongside Jalen Green, Christian Wood, Jae’Sean Tate, Josh Christopher and others.
The team plans to release a second video of his game-day routine soon.
