LSU managed to end a two-game losing streak in its last outing with a blowout victory over Missouri at home on Saturday. Now, the Tigers hit the road to take on one of college basketball’s hottest teams on Wednesday night in the No. 14 Arkansas Razorbacks, who are coming off an upset win over the Kentucky Wildcats.
This is an Arkansas team that is now a part of a three-way tie for second place in the SEC behind Auburn. It’s one of three teams in SEC play to beat coach Bruce Pearl’s team, and in addition to that upset — which ended the nation’s longest winning streak — the Razorbacks have beaten each of the other teams in the top three.
Arkansas ranks No. 23 in the NET, and it has been the victor in all but one of its previous 14 games. Its only loss since Jan. 8 was against Alabama in Tuscaloosa on Feb. 12 by one point.
The star for the Razorbacks is guard J.D. Notae, the SEC’s second-leading scorer with an average of 19.1 points per game. Three other Hogs players — guard Stanley Umude, forward Jaylen Williams and guard Au’Diese Toney — average in double figures scoring.
Here’s all the information you need to know as the Tigers look for a key Quadrant 1 win on the road.
