Young Sixers Jaden Springer, Paul Reed have big games in Blue Coats win

Young Philadelphia 76ers players Jaden Springer and Paul Reed perform well in a win for the Delaware Blue Coats.

While the Philadelphia 76ers are currently on the road and looking to figure out how to find some consistency and grow as a team, their younger players are down in the G League continuing to grow and develop.

Young Sixers Jaden Springer and Paul Reed had themselves some big performances on Saturday as the Delaware Blue Coats knocked off Raptors 905 by a score of 126-121. Springer poured in 23 points on 8-for-16 shooting with five rebounds, three blocks, and two steals while Reed had 23 points on 9-for-16 shooting while knocking down two triples to go along with 15 rebounds, four assists, and three blocks.

Both Springer and Reed still have a long ways to go in terms of becoming rotation fixtures in the NBA, but the G League offers them an opportunity to grow and take steps towards that goal. The Blue Coats offer the necessary court time for both players that they just are not going to get with the Sixers.
