The Arizona Cardinals have struggled at home over the last 10 years against the Seattle Seahawks. Since 2012, their only two home wins over the Seahawks have been last season and Russell Wilson’s NFL debut in 2012.
A Madden NFL 22 simulation of the game this afternoon has the Cardinals continuing to struggle against Seattle in their home stadium.
The cardinals took a 13-3 and then led 23-20 in the third quarter, but then the Seahawks scored 21 unanswered points to finish the game with a 41-23 win.
James Conner started the scoring with a 12-yard touchdown catch and the Seahawks answered with a 57-yard field goal. Kyler Murray threw a 13-yard touchdown pass to Christian Kirk but the extra point was blocked to make it 13-3.
They traded field goals and the Seahawks took a 20-16 lead after the Cardinals missed a 58-yard field goal and Russell Wilson rushed for a touchdown before the end of the half.
The Cardinals took a 23-20 lead after Budda Baker recovered a Rashaad Penny fumble and Kyler Murray ran it in from two yards out, but that was all the scoring the Cardinals did after that.
Wilson threw a 35-yard touchdown pass to Tyler Lockett to take a 27-23 lead, and the Cardinals turned the ball over on downs after going for it on fourth down instead of kicking a 40-yard field goal.
Wilson and Lockett connected for a 42-yard touchdown pass and then the Cardinals turned the ball over on downs again. Penny capped the scoring with a two-yard scoring run to make it 41-23 and the Cardinals turned the ball over on downs for a third straight possession.
Murray threw an interception on their final drive and the Seahawks ran out the clock.
