Lakers vs. Magic: Prediction, point spread, odds, over/under, betting picks

Our prediction and best bets for Sunday’s game between the Los Angeles Lakers and Orlando Magic, with odds courtesy of @Tipico Sportsbook.

The Los Angeles Lakers play the Orlando Magic on Sunday, and if you’re looking to do some last-minute betting research, you’re in luck! We’ll give you the latest point spread, money line odds and over-under number, as well as the information you’ll need to make the smartest bet at Tipico Sportsbook.

The game tips off at 6:30 p.m. PT and can be seen on Spectrum SportsNet and Bally Sports Florida.

Los Angeles (14-13) is on a one-game winning streak after blowing out the Oklahoma City Thunder. However, the Lakers have struggled with inconsistency, and possibly playing without Anthony Davis exacerbates that problem. L.A. managed to beat the Thunder without him, but the Magic have more length and size in the frontcourt.

Orlando (5-22) is on a four-game losing streak and will likely be vying for a top pick in the lottery when the season is over. Key members of the rebuild like Jalen Suggs have missed time, but Cole Anthony (20.4 PPG) has helped pick up the slack. As aforementioned, Franz Wagner, Wendell Carter Jr. and Mo Bamba are all 6-foot-10 or taller. The Lakers like to run small-ball lineups, but deploying those without Davis might not be wise.

Magic at Lakers notable injuries:

Lakers: OUT – Trevor Ariza (ankle), Kendrick Nunn (knee); Questionable – Anthony Davis (knee); Probable – LeBron James (abdominal)

Magic: An official injury report hasn’t been submitted. Markelle Fultz, Michael Carter-Williams and Jonathan Isaac have yet to play this season. Suggs (thumb) is likely out. E’Twaun Moore (knee) didn’t play Saturday against the L.A. Clippers, so he is likely out, too.

Advice and prediction

The Lakers have one of their best point spreads of the season, but how realistic that spread manifests tonight weighs on Davis’ status.

Orlando is ranked No. 28 in points per game, No. 27 in field goal percentage, No. 28 in 3-point shooting, No. 25 in turnovers and No. 26 in assists on offense. On defense, Orlando has the worst defensive rating in the league and is ranked No. 26 in points allowed.

If the Lakers can solve the length difference, this should be a win, but the squad has yet to prove this year it can win consistently.

Take the Magic plus-10.5, Lakers minus-750 and the under 219.5.

Prediction: Lakers 111, Magic 102
