One of the hot names for coordinator positions at the college level is former passing game coordinator Joe Brady. He was recently relieved from his duties with the Carolina Panthers for what many believe to be a difference in philosophy. There was some speculation that he would return to the college level with his pick of teams.
However, Adam Schefter of ESPN reports that Brady is wanting to remain on the NFL level. Many believe that Brady is no fan of recruiting which would be a clear indication as to why he left right after the national championship for the NFL.

With the opening at LSU, some fans were hoping that he would return to the Bayou and fix the offensive woes for the Tigers. With the likeliness of him staying at the NFL level, we can put that pipedream to rest. It wasn’t a certainty that he would return to LSU with Brian Kelly in charge of the team. It remains to be seen just who will be the next offensive play-caller for LSU.
With the focus on the early signing period this week, we likely won’t hear much on the coaching front. There are still plenty of spots on both the roster and the coaching staff that need to be filled.
