Ohio State transfer Quinn Ewers visits Texas Tech, set to see TCU

An update on the Quinn Ewers situation, including an in-home visit from Steve Sarkisian.

Quinn Ewers has been the biggest name in the college football transfer portal thus far. The former five-star quarterback originally was reported to have an interest in Texas, Texas A&M and Texas Tech.

Pete Thamel of Yahoo Sports shared an update on the Ewers recruitment on Sunday afternoon.

Ewers wasted little time before making the trip out to Lubbock to meet with Joey McGuire. Texas Tech continues to look like a serious option to Ewers’ next destination.

TCU has officially put their name in the sweepstakes as they will host the former Buckeye for a visit on Monday. Sonny Dykes has a good track record with quarterbacks and will likely have a solid pitch to offer.

Thamel also reported that Texas head coach Steve Sarkisian quickly visited Ewers at his home shortly after he entered the transfer portal.

Texas has yet to receive a visit from Ewers since entering the portal but it is important to remember Quinn is a former Texas commit and saw Austin many times during his high school recruitment.
