Washington K Joey Slye trolls Panthers after Week 11 revenge game

Joey Slye, a.k.a. Swole Tweeder, wants to make it clear that he was trolling the Panthers and not his buddy Cam Newton.

It took him two games in 2021 to get his revenge, but former Carolina Panthers kicker Joey Slye did it. And he made sure everyone knew.

Shortly following the Washington Football Team’s 27-21 win over Carolina in Week 11, Slye took to his Instagram account for a bit of a victory lap. The third-year boot, who was released by the Panthers prior to the start of the regular season, even made an apropos and timely reference to Cam Newton in the process.

Slye was true in his return to Bank of America Stadium. He was a perfect five-for-five on his kicks, including a pair of fourth-quarter field goals that gave Washington their final six-point edge.

His first shot at redemption against the Panthers came in Week 3 while with the Houston Texans. Slye wasn’t as successful then, having missed an extra point in Carolina’s 24-9 victory at the time.

Oh, and just for some good housekeeping, Slye also wants you to know that his troll job wasn’t a slight towards Cam . . .

@joey_slye

Do your thing, Swole Tweeder. You’ve earned it.
