Valve delays the Steam Deck

The Steam deck isn’t coming out this year anymore.

The Steam Deck has been delayed by two months, now coming out in early 2022.

Valve Software let people that pre-ordered the device know that it won’t be coming out in December anymore because of supply chain issues — who could’ve ever guessed!

“We’re sorry about this, we did our best to work around the global supply chain issues,” Valve said on Steam’s website. “due to material shortages, components aren’t reaching our manufacturing facilities in time for us to meet our initial launch dates.”

Valve estimated that the Steam Deck will begin shipping in February of next year, though no hard release date is available at this time.
