Vikings CB Bashaud Breeland questionable to return to Ravens game

Vikings CB Bashaud Breeland is questionable to return to the Week 9 game with a groin injury.

With Patrick Peterson out, the Vikings need their less experienced corners to step up and fill the void.

Minnesota might have to adjust without another corner on Sunday. The Vikings announced that they ruled Minnesota CB Bashaud Breeland questionable to return with a groin injury.

Breeland and Cameron Dantzler are, by far, the team’s best options at cornerback now that Peterson is on IR. Before he left the game, Breeland had a decent showing in Week 9 with an early pass breakup.

Minnesota will go with Kris Boyd mostly if Breeland remains out. The Vikings can also utilize Harrison Hand.

Minnesota is also dealing with an absence in the back end of the secondary.

The Vikings placed Minnesota S Harrison Smith on the COVID-19/Reserve list before the game in Baltimore. Camryn Bynum is starting in place of Smith.

At the time this article was published, the Vikings led the Ravens 14-3 in the second quarter.
