Titans’ A.J. Brown talks food poisoning from Chipotle, snap count comment

A.J. Brown says he got food poisoning from Chipotle, which led to him losing eight pounds in the days leading up to Week 6.

After the Week 6 win over the Buffalo Bills, Tennessee Titans wide receiver A.J. Brown talked about his bout with food poisoning that nearly led to his missing the game, and he clarified his controversial snap count comment.

Brown revealed that he suffered food poisoning in the days leading up to the game after he ate at Chipotle, which led to him losing eight pounds and needing an IV during the contest.

“I’m sorry Chipotle, but Chipotle got me. I’m sorry,” Brown said while laughing.

“The first half, to be honest, man, I was feeling really bad,” Brown said. “I couldn’t get myself going. They was trying to bring me along slow because they knew they’d need me in the second half.”

Brown won’t be getting any sponsorships from Chipotle anytime soon, that’s for certain.

Running back Derrick Henry cracked a joke about Brown’s food poisoning, saying, “I just made sure we had enough toilet paper for him.”

In regard to his comment that he would be on a limited snap count until Week 10, Brown had this to say:

“Hamstring was fine,” Brown said. “And, yeah, let’s clear this up: when I said Week 10, that was for me, that was for as far as I can go like conditioning-wise. I’m not on no snap count, it’s just as far as me. I think by Week 10 I should be able to go play for play the entire game, like not coming out, not one time. That’s what I mean.”

Whatever the case may be, Brown appears to be back on track after reeling in a team-high seven catches for 91 yards on Monday night, which is great news because Tennessee will need him if they want to make noise in 2021.
