After a 4-0 start, Arkansas football has dropped three in a row. Saturday’s 38-23 loss to Auburn was the latest such sting.
Accordingly, the Razorbacks have fallen in the eyes of college football’s coaches (or their sports information directors, as it were). Arkansas dropped from No. 19 last week to unranked today in the AFCA USA TODAY Sports Coaches Poll.
The Razorbacks picked up 31 points in the voting, which was the 28th highest number among all vote-getting teams.
Other SEC teams inside the top 25 include Georgia (1), Alabama (4), Ole Miss (12), Kentucky (14), Texas A&M (17) and Auburn (22). Florida joined Arkansas among the SEC teams who dropped out of the rankings.
Arkansas sits in last place in the SEC West at 1-3 in league play. The Razorbacks get a break from FBS on Saturday when they travel to Little Rock to play Arkansas-Pine Bluff. After that comes a bye and then the Hogs close out the season with four straight SEC games.
