The Arizona Cardinals did not announce it, but a player move appeared on Wednesday’s NFL transaction report. Tight end Darrell Daniels was placed on the reserve/COVID-19 list.
He was the only player in the league to land on the list Wednesday and the report indicated it was the result of a positive test. Daniels will be out until he tests negative consecutively and has no symptoms.
Daniels has played 72 offensive snaps this season, the second-most among the three tight ends on the roster.
That will mean an increased role on offense for Demetrius Harris and it also likely will signal the elevation of tight end Ross Travis from the practice squad to the active roster.
That move will not come until Saturday.
