Isaiah McKenzie revisits his one-time Notre Dame commitment

Think this is true or just a well-crafted story and some revisionist history?

Isaiah McKenzie is in his fifth season as an NFL receiver and in his fourth with the Buffalo Bills.  McKenzie is a player that once announced a commitment to Notre Dame but according to Tyler James of NDInsider, “the program was unable to accept his commitment because of clouded academic qualifications”.

James’s 2014 article also mentions how McKenzie was unwilling to commit to his previously planned official visit to Notre Dame for a January weekend and how that resulted in the two going their separate ways.  Ultimately McKenzie wound up playing his college ball at Georgia.

The current Bills wide receiver shared a different story as to what led to him not attending Notre Dame as he joined Tyler Dunne of Go Long.  Take a watch below:

Is he telling the truth or just a convincing story?

Based off of the aforementioned reporting of Tyler James back in 2014 it’d appear to be a bit of revisionist history by McKenzie, but I’ll let you decide that for yourselves.
