Kirby Smart on UGA’s tough October schedule

Kirby Smart talks UGA’s upcoming schedule

Including last weekend’s win over Arkansas, Georgia has four straight rank matchups, assuming none of the teams UGA plays loses beforehand.

Georgia beat No. 8 ranked Arkansas, plays No. 18 Auburn this weekend, No. 16 Kentucky the next and then No. 20 Florida on October 30.

“There is no week off in our conference so those teams could be higher ranked by the time we play them, they could be lower ranked but they’re going to be the same team regardless of what they’re ranked,” Kirby smart said.

October is not going to be easy for the Dawgs, but if they come out of the month undefeated, which many expect they will, there will be no doubt whatsoever that this a College Football Playoff team regardless of what happens in the SEC Championship Game.

“And they’re really good SEC teams,” Smart continued. “I think it’s more about how do you write the chapters in your book where all the chapters are good chapters. We’re trying to write a really good book and we don’t want a bad chapter in our book. So, we’re trying to write each individual chapter, and it has a history and life of it’s own, and you do that by focusing on what’s present now. And that, for us right now, is Auburn.”
