The Baltimore Ravens have seen more than a handful of key contributors go down with injuries so far during the 2021 season. Some players won’t be able to return until next year, while others should be able to make a comeback before the season is over.
On Wednesday, it was reported by Jeremy Fowler of ESPN that Baltimore cornerback Chris Westry has a torn lateral meniscus in his knee. It would be a big blow to lose yet another defensive back to a big injury, as the team is already trying to adjust to the loss of veteran cornerback Marcus Peters.

With a torn lateral meniscus, Westry’s recovery timetable could range anywhere from 4-8 weeks. The cornerback played a big role in Week 1 against the Las Vegas Raiders, and now the Ravens will likely look to the free agent market to just get healthy bodies at the position, as Baltimore currently only has four healthy cornerbacks on their active roster.
