Miami Dolphins QB Tua Tagovailoa explains what Dan Marino means to him

Tagovailoa shows his appreciation for the Miami Dolphins legend

Former Alabama quarterback Tua Tagovailoa has begun his second season in the NFL with the team that drafted him No. 5 overall in the 2020 draft, the Miami Dolphins.

The Dolphins have long searched for a franchise quarterback to replace the legendary Hall of Fame quarterback Dan Marino, who played with the team all 17 years of his career and retired in 1999. The team and fans hope Tagovailoa is the quarterback to fill his shoes.

Today is Marino’s birthday, and Tagovailoa took some time during his press conference to show his appreciation for Marino because of what he’s done for him as a player, and for the team as a whole.

The former Crimson Tide star mentions that Marino has been a big help in guiding him to success in his young career, and that the team is grateful for his support.

Tagovailoa also said that his favorite piece of advice from Marino is “pick a guy and let it fly.”

Roll Tide Wire will continue to cover Tagovailoa as he traverses through his second season with the Miami Dolphins.
