The Rams originally signed 14 players to their practice squad on Wednesday, leaving three available spots thanks to the exemption for Max Pircher. They’ve filled one of those spots with a player who wasn’t with the team during camp, signing guard Jared Hocker to the practice squad Thursday.
The team announced the move on Twitter, making him the 15th official member of the practice squad. It has also been reported that the Rams will sign running back Buddy Howell, but that hasn’t been confirmed by the Rams yet.
Hocker is a massive guard at 6-foot-6 and 327 pounds, carrying good length and power in his frame. He started 10 games at right guard for Texas A&M last year and was signed as an undrafted free agent by the Seahawks.
He was waived by Seattle as part of final cuts on Tuesday.
Here are some clips of Hocker from his time with the Aggies, playing both left and right guard.
