It’s okay for preseason predictions to look different.
On Wednesday, Brandon Marcello of 247Sports put out his predictions of how he thought SEC teams would perform this season.
He has the Auburn Tigers finishing with a 6-6 record.
Here is a part of his reasoning.
Auburn placed a lot of faith in Bo Nix to lead the program back to the top of the SEC, but struggles along the offensive line and a lack of consistency at receiver has led to mostly disappointment and diminishing returns on offense,” Marcello writes. “Gus Malzahn was fired after the season, which surprised some, but it was clear since 2017 when he agreed to a massive new deal that some fans had already had enough of him as head coach.
Most predictions have Auburn finishing 7-5 or 8-4 throughout college football media, but all scenarios are worth a voice as we get closer to the season.
