This name, image, and likeness business is really taking off at Ohio State apparently. All the other stuff we’ve seen to date is child’s play compared to what freshman defensive end Jack Sawyer just received from Mark Wahlberg Chevrolet in Columbus — at least on the surface.
Yeah, it’s that Mark Wahlberg, the one in movies who just so happens to own a couple of dealerships in Columbus among many other business ventures he has pulled the trigger on.
According to a tweet Sawyer shared, he is the proud owner of a brand new, jacked-up, black Chevy Silverado, and we’re guessing it’s not a stripped-down model. Sawyer made sure to thank Mark Wahlberg Chevrolet for the hot ride, and though there’s no mention of any type of endorsement, clearly that’s the case with the shoutout to the dealership.
BIG thanks to @MarkWahlberg and the people @WahlbergChevy for the awesome @Chevrolet Silverado! Looking forward to a great season. GO BUCKS! pic.twitter.com/N6AQW03pmG

There’s a lesson to be learned here. If you want sweet endorsements as a collegiate athlete that is marketable, you could do a lot worse than going to the capital city of Ohio to make some coin, or in this case, obtain yourself a pretty sweet ride.
We just wonder if that truck has a sack and tackles for loss package included.
