In Wednesday’s only MLS game, Minnesota United (6 wins, 5 losses, 3 draws) visit Los Angeles FC (6-5-4). The match is set to kick off at 10:30 p.m. ET at Banc of California Stadium. Below, we preview the Minnesota United vs. Los Angeles FC odds and lines, and make our best MLS bets, picks and predictions.
Coming off a disappointing 2-2 draw against the Western Conference’s 12th-place Vancouver Whitecaps, Los Angeles FC (LAFC) looks to get back into the win column. It needs to work its way back up the table after a slow start to the season.
Currently, in fifth place, LAFC takes on the sixth-place Minnesota United. United has lost three of six games on the road, so it could be a tough outing for the away side.
Both teams will be down one player for CONCACAF Gold Cup action.

Prediction
Los Angeles FC 2, Minnesota United 1
Money line (ML)
“LEAN” to LOS ANGELES FC (-225) despite the steep price.
LAFC is 4-1-3 at home. F Diego Rossi and F Carlos Vela are both healthy and the duo is the best two-man attacking combo in the MLS.
It’s almost impossible to limit that pair, especially when you bring in the speedster MF Latif Blessing. On top of those three, MF José Cifuentes has had a great season, tying Rossi for the most goals on the team with 5.
United is no pushover, but LAFC is the better team. It has won three of its last five matches and enters this game in good form.

Over/Under (O/U)
BET the UNDER 3.5 (-135) as Minnesota United is not a dynamic scoring site.
The total is 3.5 due to the attacking prowess of LAFC but it hit Over 3.5 just once this season. Vela hasn’t hit his full rhythm yet and should be limited against a solid United defense.
United has given up 17 goals in 14 games. LAFC has scored 20 and given up 17 in 15 games. All the figures equate to Under 3.5 being a good bet.
