The competition at quarterback is one of the most important things to keep an eye on where LSU football is concerned this offseason — and we’ll see two of the team’s signal-callers in Max Johnson and Myles Brennan at the Manning Passing Academy later this summer.
University of Louisiana-Lafayette quarterback Levi Lewis, who some consider a potential 2022 NFL Draft sleeper, was also invited to be a camp counselor, as was Tulane quarterback Michael Pratt.
That makes for four signal-callers playing out their college careers in the state of Louisiana.
The full list outside of the three quarterbacks currently playing out their college careers in Louisiana includes Matt Corral (Ole Miss), J.T. Daniels (Georgia), Dillon Gabriel (UCF), Sam Howell (UNC), Grayson McCall (Coastal Carolina), Michael Penix Jr. (Indiana), Michael Pratt (Tulane) and D.J. Uiagalelei (Clemson).
The camp is set to take place from July 15-18.

It will be interesting to watch how the season plays out for all of the camp counselors invited to the MPA, considering that a number of them are slated to go at least somewhat high in the upcoming draft.
As for the LSU situation in specific, head coach Ed Orgeron has insisted throughout the year that the quarterback competition is wide-open, though he has reiterated that Johnson is the only 2-0 quarterback on the campus and did give him first reps opening spring practice.
