All three are long shots, though.

After the Tennessee Titans sported one of the worst defenses in the NFL last season, there is nowhere to go but up for this unit in 2021, which has seen a massive overhaul during the offseason.

The Titans spent over $100 million to improve their defense via free agency, while also parting ways with several key players, particularly in the secondary.

Three players who will be key to Tennessee’s defensive success are defensive lineman Jeffery Simmons, and outside linebackers Bud Dupree and Harold Landry, all of whom have been given odds to win Defensive Player of the Year.

According to BetMGM, Simmons has the best odds of the three to win the award, coming in at +8000. Landry and Dupree have been given the same odds at +15000.

Should one of those three or any Titans player overcome the odds and win the award, they would be the first defender in franchise history to do it.

The addition of Dupree, along with the signing of Denico Autry, should have a hugely positive impact on Simmons, who saw plenty of extra attention in his second season with little help around him.

We tend to agree with Las Vegas on this one and believe Simmons truly does have the best chance to win the award of any Titans defender.
